The Woodlands Christian Safari was a roaring success! Approximately 400 wildly attired guests gathered at The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center for a spectacular evening of food, fellowship and fundraising. The event was chaired by Robin and Mark Bennett and sponsored by Richie’s Specialty Pharmacy. I am so grateful to them and to this year’s auction committee for their tireless efforts to create a stunningly beautiful gala, and I am humbled by the overwhelming generosity of our families.
Early estimates suggest that we grossed an astounding $1.1 million! All of the net proceeds will provide financial aid to students with demonstrated financial need who bring diverse gifts to our school community but cannot otherwise afford the full cost of our tuition. We will spread approximately half of these awards over multiple years and reserve the balance in a permanent endowment. We believe that designating these auction proceeds to worthy students will bless existing, as well as future students and increase our ability to impact Christ’s kingdom for eternity.
I give thanks to God for all the blessings He has bestowed upon Woodlands Christian, not just monetarily, but also through the generous hearts and hands of every person who took part in this year’s event. We are humbled by your support and honored to serve your family.
