Rendezvous in Monte Carlo was a truly elegant affair! Nearly 500 formally attired guests gathered at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott for a festive evening of fellowship and fundraising. I am grateful to CeCe and Richie Ray, our event chairs, Richie's Specialty Pharmacy, our Grand Prix Presenting Sponsor, the members of our auction and gala committee, and our many sponsors, volunteers and supporters.
We broke all previous auction records by grossing $2,750,000. Adding net proceeds to our previous pledges brings our total commitments for the new high school building to $4,550,000, representing 57% of total costs! It is my fervent hope that we can reach our financial goal quickly, start construction next year and open the new building for our students in 2018-2019.
